Will
the following verse from Leviticus also apply to the United States?
“But
if in spite of this you will not listen to me, but walk contrary
to me, then I will walk contrary to you in fury, and I myself will
discipline you sevenfold for your sins. ...
You
shall eat the flesh of your sons, and you shall eat the flesh of your
daughters. ...
And
I will destroy your high places and cut down your incense altars
and cast your dead bodies upon the dead bodies of your idols, and my
soul will abhor you. ...
And
I will lay your cities waste and will make
your sanctuaries desolate,
and I will not smell your pleasing aromas. ...
And
I myself will devastate the land,
so that your enemies who settle in it shall be appalled at it."
Leviticus 26:27-32 ESV.
We
have all seen faith being attacked and discredited by
deliberate campaigns that are designed to take God out
of everything.
Do
not be embarrassed of your faith, so that the Lord will not be
embarrassed of you.
Stand
proud of your faith when others try to disqualify your faith. Instead
stand proud and condemn their lack of faith, for they are in error, not
you or your Lord.
...
"Light has come into the world, but people loved darkness instead
of light because their deeds were evil. ...
...
Everyone who does evil hates
the light, and will not come into the light for fear that their deeds
will be exposed." John 3:19-20 NIV
My
Faith tells me not to be intolerant of you, but to be intolerant of
your intolerance.
And
Samuel grew, and the Lord was with him, and did let none of his words
fall to the ground. 1 Samuel 3:19 KJV
“The
eye is the lamp of the body. So, if your eye is healthy, your whole
body will be full of light, but if your eye is bad, your whole body
will be full of darkness. ...
“...
If then the light in you is darkness, how
great is the darkness!" Matthew 6:22-23 ESV
...
“Woe to the world for temptations to sin![a] For it is necessary that
temptations come, but woe to the one by whom the temptation comes!"
Matthew 8:7 ESV
